Divine Destiny and Purpose

“who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began…” (2 Timothy 1:9)

The Amazing Truth about Your Divine Destinymagenta flower monastery

This Scripture written by the Apostle Paul to his younger fellow minister Timothy, tells you the believer, an amazing truth: that the Lord called you out and saved you in Christ Jesus before time even began. This means that before the foundation of the world, God singled you out, and spoke His purpose concerning you individually and that this call you have was not given according to your works, but according to His sovereign decision regarding your life and destiny.

When you think about this powerful statement, you see that the Lord has already given to you every bit of the grace you need to accomplish your destiny in Him. All the unmerited favor and ability and provision has been provided for you to accomplish your purpose.

God spoke your purpose into existence and gave you Christ, so that in Him you would have everything you need to accomplish that vision. All the wisdom, the talent, the strength, the opportunities, the resources, the connections, and even the time required is allotted for you to achieve the divine purpose that He has for your life.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:11-12)

Here is another power-packed verse concerning your divine destiny in Christ. Here, Paul tells you that God predestined you according to His own counsel and purpose, and that you have obtained an inheritance in Christ. Notice the past tense here, that you have already obtained the inheritance!

Do not underestimate your identity and the great plan and purpose that the Lord has for you, both in this life and in the eternal life to come.
